We suggest you consume chamomile tea every night before bedtime.

Another herb that can be used to treat anxiety and depression is rosemary. It contains vitamin B6, iron and calcium, restoring the previously broken balanced. You can consume it as a tea. All you need to do is boil 2 tsp of rosemary in 1 cup of water for several minutes.

Since anxiety and depression keep you in a permanent stress, relaxation is something that seems on top of a mountain for you to reach. Not with Epsom salt. A simple bath in which you have added 2 cups of Epsom salt will make your worries and negative thoughts go away. Alternatively, you can replace this salt with a mixture of 1/3 cup of baking soda and 1/3 cup of grated ginger. The sodium bicarbonate will relax your mind and create a nice atmosphere.

When you suffer from depression or anxiety, your body loses lots of proteins, minerals and vitamins. You can ensure the necessary quantity by consuming an almond-based remedy. Just blend 10 almonds that you have previously kept in water overnight, together with ¼ tsp of grated ginger, 1 cup of tepid milk and ¼ tsp of nutmeg. Consume the resulting composition several times a week, before bedtime.

You can also combat depression and anxiety with cardamom seeds. Just crush 4 cardamom seeds in order to get a powder, then combine it with a glass of water. Drink the resulting mixture on a daily basis and you will feel better.

If cardamom is not one of your favorite ingredients, you can opt for celery. This herb is rich in potassium and folic acid, two enzymes that keep you calm and restore your optimism. Just consume 2 cups of celery leaves every day.

Vitamin C is another nutrient that lacks when you are depressed. This is the reason why lemon has a very important role in treating this disease. A strong metabolism, a good digestion and a regulate blood pressure level will help you move on and make you an active person. Prepare some juice by mixing 1 tsp of lemon with ½ tsp of grated ginger and ½ tsp of honey. Take this remedy three times every day and your mood will improve considerably.

If you believe that remedies take too much time to prepare you can still focus on supplements. There are a series of natural ingredients that can help you combat anxiety and depression: passionflower, valerian or lemon balm. Make sure you read the instructions before consuming them.

We almost forgot about one of the most important and effective natural remedies against depression and anxiety: lavender. We all know that lavender has calming properties and is used in massage saloons for relaxation. Well, what else do you need? Make an appointment and get a lavender massage to relax your body. Alternatively, you can spread several drops of lavender oil on your pillow before going to sleep. During the night you will inhale the powerful fragrance and your body will manage to relax and you will sleep like a baby.

Tips to get rid of anxiety and depression

  • Be active. Keeping you occupied with different activities will keep your mind busy.
  • Have a healthy diet: include fish or beans as they are rich in amino-acids or omega-3 fatty acids which will boost your organism. And don’t forget about green veggies and fruits.
  • Spend some time in nature and enjoy the fresh air.
  • Do physical exercises every day.
  • The best way to combat these diseases is to be rounded by close people.
  • Take part in charity activities, being able to help someone less privileged than you will determine you to move on.
