  1. Ginger

This root contains anti-inflammatory substances that can bring relief to your back pain. Either you apply ginger paste on the affected area or you prepare ginger tea (you can combine it with cloves and/or pepper corns) and drink it, its properties will manifest and the ache will be relieved.

  1. Basil leaves

A concoction containing 8-10 boiled basil leaves to which salt was added is to be consumed once or twice a day, depending on the severity of the pain.

  1. Poppy seeds

Two teaspoons of a mixture of 100mg poppy seeds and 100 mg rock candy should be consumed twice a day, along with a cup of milk.

  1. Herbal oil

This oil (no matter if it’s of olive, eucalyptus, almond or coconut) aids to the relaxation of your muscles, releasing the pain. It should be warmed before massaging it on your back.

  1. Garlic

There are two ways in which you can use garlic for healing your back: either you eat 2-3 cloves of it before breakfast or you prepare garlic oil (fried garlic cloves are to be mixed with sesame/mustard/coconut oil) and use it for massages.

  1. Wheat

Soaked wheat, mixed with coriander, cuscus grass powder, and a cup of milk is to be boiled until thickening and then consumed twice a day.

  1. Ice packs

Either you use ice or frozen vegetable, it is advisable to apply cold compresses on the affected area – they reduce the swelling and relieve the pain. You can alternate them with hot compresses. Do not apply the bag of ice directly on your skin – cover it with a towel.

  1. Epsom salt

A paste made of Epsom salt and hot water should be applied on your back with a towel soaked in it. Also, Epsom salt can be added in water when you take baths.

  1. Chamomile tea

If you drink chamomile tea, your muscular tissues will be relaxed, the tension in the muscles being one of the causes of backache – thus, your pain will be relieved.

  1. Milk

Your body – more specifically, your bones need calcium in order to be as strong as possible. Milk is a great source of calcium: you should drink milk on a regular basis, and you can also mix it with honey, sugar or cuscus grass powder.

The remedies listed above provide immediate but only temporary relief. It is highly recommended to go see a doctor if the pain persists.
